REALestate resources
In my own journeys, I have found that the whole process of buying and selling can be over-whelming and intimidating. As a result, I strive to ease the process by providing as much knowledge and information as possible to my clients in a calm and friendly atmosphere.

Lee On Investing
Because the financial market is constantly changing, there is not an exact science to successful investing. However, an investor should be prepared to weather the storm of a fluctuating market- both the stock market and the real estate market. If the economy weakens, it's a comfort to have a house that you can enjoy, as opposed to a stack of worthless stock certificates. Diversification is the answer.

Real Tips:

Be Educated, Be Careful
There are thousands of online and print resources available to today’s buyers and sellers. It is to your benefit to find out as much as you can about market conditions, lender services, relocation offerings and other real estate related information. Once you have done your research and you are ready to select a service vendor of any kind, referrals are the safest and most effective way of identifying your best options.

Be Aware Of What You Sign
While it is appropriate to “sign-in” at a public open house, be sure that if you are asked to sign a buyers agency agreement, you actually do want to commit to working with that agent in the future. If you do have confidence in the agent, then by all means, sign it!

Unsolicited Referrals
A word about the lenders who are advertising that they will refer you to a qualified realtor…be aware of the fact that the lenders charge a fee to the realtor for the referral. Most experienced agents do not need to pay a lender for the name of the potential client. As a result, you are likely to get someone who is new to the business.

Online Resources:
Most of the houses in Fairfield County have wells and septic systems – to better understandhow to care for them, go to www.conservect.org/southwest.htm for a free online brochure entitled “Septic Care & Maintenance for the Homeowner.”
